Originally from Eastman, GA,
Jill Howell graduated from SCAD summa cum laude in 2009.
Her early interests in learning and studying local history developed into a passion for representing Southern culture in her artwork. Jill derives inspiration from historically vibrant and beautiful cities like Savannah, and her ink wash drawings depict Southern architecture and landscaping as well as nautical maps of the Eastern seaboard.

After completing a Savannah-based series of illustrations,
Jill is currently exploring watercolor and gold and silver leafing along with commission work in her studio.
